Thank you for giving the Holy Spirit the opportunity to speak to you on what role he is asking you to play in seeing Liberty County changed forever. God is doing amazing things through Freedom Church and we know this is only the beginning. We want you to be a part!

When you look through the Bible, you see moment after moment where God does amazing and miraculous things. While we know God is the power behind those amazing things, he always involves people in the process. It is something that moves me about God: he wants us involved in his plan to see humanity restored.

For some of us it means a lifetime of service in vocational ministry. For others, it is outside the four walls. For others still, God is calling you to move the Kingdom financially. ALL are important! Whatever your role, I want to say thank you for being willing to let God use you to help make the miraculous happen.

THE VISION

God has given us a perfect opportunity to make a major, generational impact in Liberty County and beyond. With the purchase of 10 acres of prime real estate on Hwy 90 in Liberty, we are positioned to see our entire area changed forever.

Liberty represents a comfortable middle ground for our current ten county reach, and beyond just Liberty County, this space will help us continue to make a Kingdom impact in these surrounding counties and communities.

We are currently planning a facility that will meet the needs of our growing congregation for years to come. The existing facility will provide move-in ready space for our Kid’s Ministry and church offices, providing plenty of expansion potential, and with 10 acres, we will have ample room to grow.

We are planning to construct a 15,000 sq. ft. worship center with a 364 seat auditorium directly behind the existing building.

This facility will be unmatched in Liberty and will not only be designed with the most modern, yet cost-effective industrial style design, but it will also serve its intended purpose to facilitate Heaven being populated and lives being changed now and for eternity.

OUR CURRENT FACILITY

Our current 6000 sq ft space has served us so well over the last 2 years, however, we’ve run into a few variables that precipitate a need for a new, larger venue. These variables include:

Growth.
We have grown exponentially. During a 4 month stretch in Q2 of 2022, we grew a whopping 320%. Our expectation was 300 in attendance by year 5. That has almost happened in half the time. We average 245 every Sunday with peaks as high as 273, and our current facility simply does not have enough space. To facilitate the numbers, we offer two services every Sunday.

Contract Renewal.
While are in excellent standing with our landlords, over the last 18 months, they have invested well over 10 million into our current shopping center, including the addition of a hotel, new convenience store, and office and storage facilities. We are fairly certain they would renew a contract, but at what cost? We currently pay around $.83 per sq ft, however, current market prices are well over that at this point. The facility is not sufficient for our needs to command over $1.00 per sq ft.

The Ceiling.
While our current facility has been a blessing to our congregation, it also represents a ceiling. We’ve spoken to and heard about many people who want to engage at Freedom, however, the fact we are in a shopping center makes them feel less confident about our longevity, which hinders them from committing.

Simple stated, while the current facility has been a blessing over the last 2 years, moving forward, we will continue to be limited by space, the space will not be sufficient to justify higher rental fees, and it’s time to put down permanent roots.

NEXT STEPS

Once the property is ours, what are the next steps? Is the place move-in ready? Great questions! These are important questions, and ones to which we have given a lot of thought. The raw facts are that there is no facility in Liberty or Dayton currently available that could house a church our size, so we have to get creative.

In the image to the left, you can see a render of the existing building with a 15,000 sq ft worship facility just behind. The goal is to build this worship center connected to the back of what would be our Kid’s Ministry facility. The existing building is move-in ready for Kid’s Ministry, church offices, Meetups (our small groups), ministry sessions with congregants, meetings, etc. However, the worship facility would take time to raise funds and build. So what do we do?

The Warehouse pictured to the left is the answer. Our plan is to pour ~$100,000 into new metal siding and roof, then build out a temporary worship facility in the first 1/2 of the building, complete with a foyer and restrooms. Once our official worship center is completed, The Warehouse will become our NextGEN facility, housing our growing youth ministry. With nearly 40 teens already engaging every Sunday, we envision this facility packed out every week, continuing to develop amazing teenagers, on fire for God, to make a Kingdom impact.

By securing the property, we can begin renovations on The Warehouse, and by the time our contract ends March 2024, we can move right in, no disruptions!

Freedom Church Capital Campaign Frequently Asked Questions

Who will be asked to support the campaign?
We would love for every family who calls Freedom home to be a part of this effort.  It is our hope that every family will make a truly sacrificial pledge to the Forward23 Capital Campaign.

Can I make my pledge online?
Yes, simply click HERE or go to www.freedomdl.com/give and select “Forward23 Capital Campaign” to make a one-time or recurring gift. You can even set it up for automatic monthly withdrawal.

To what extent is a campaign commitment tax deductible?
Gifts to Freedom Church and the Forward23 Capital Campaign are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.  The application of such laws varies with individual circumstances.  Donors with specific questions regarding tax deductibility should contact their attorney or financial advisor.

What if I would like to give stocks, real estate, or some other kind of gift?

How will I be recognized for my commitment?
The most important recognition you will receive is ultimately that of God Himself; remember that God is not outdone in generosity!  Freedom will recognize your gift if you would like. Donor recognition is a significant feature of every capital campaign, and these campaigns often include naming opportunities to recognize significant gifts to the campaign.  Contact Pastor Jason for information about these opportunities.

Is my pledge legally binding? 
A pledge is not legally binding; it is a gift, one you have made through your own discernment process with God.  All we ask is that you do your best to fulfill your pledge and advise us of any changes that may affect your commitment.

Will my pledge be confidential?
All pledges will be kept as confidential as possible.  Only the people responsible for maintaining the records will have access to your pledge.

Other Ways to Give to Freedom’s Capital Campaign

Appreciated Stock
Donating appreciated stock (held more than one year) makes an excellent gift. You avoid all capital gain taxes, and will receive a tax deduction.

Bonds, Mutual Funds

Gifts from Mandatory IRA Distributions.
Anyone at least 70.5 years of age who is receiving mandatory annual distributions from an IRA can avoid tax if you donate directly to Freedom and receive a tax deduction as well!

CD’s, Saving Accounts, Brokerage Accounts, Checking Accounts with P.O.D. Provisions (payable upon death)

Bequest Through Your Will
After providing for your family members, you can make a gift bequest of a dollar amount, specific property, a percentage of the estate, or what is left (remainder) to Freedom Church. Consider a tithe of 10% or what God asks of you, offered for the glory of God.

Gift of Life Insurance
A simple way to make a significant future gift is to name the church as beneficiary to receive all (or a portion) of the proceeds of an existing life insurance policy. You will receive a tax deduction for the cash surrender value, thus reducing your tax liability.

Purchase a New Life Insurance Policy
Name the church as Owner and Beneficiary of a new life insurance policy.

Retirement Accounts
Funds from IRA’s or company plans beyond the comfortable support of yourself or loved ones may be given (like life insurance proceeds) to the parish by designating Freedom as your official beneficiary.

Personal Property
Gifts of personal property are always welcome, including collections, royalty, and mineral rights. Charitable tax deductions are available in the year of the gift.

Real Estate
We are happy to discuss the possible gift of land, a house, or vacation home. You will receive a tax deduction for the full fair market value, and avoid all capital gain taxes.

In-Kind Gifts
Gifts of goods or services are accepted by the organization with prior approval by the Freedom Church Board of Directors. Ordinarily these gifts will be credited toward the campaign at their full fair market values as determined by appraisal or other appropriate valuation techniques.
